2 years agoAlthough being the highest seed in his group in both of his WGC Match Play appearances, Viktor Hovland has yet to advance out of the group stage. Hovland will once again be the highest seed in his group in 2023, but he will face some friction in a very balanced group. Hovland is coming off back-to-back top-10 finishes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship, which would make it seem Hovland should advance easy this week, but not so fast. Hovland came into the 2022 WGC Match Play with three top-nine finishes in his previous four starts, and then fell to Will Zalatoris in the group stage. In a very similar situation this year, and a high DFS price, have some pause when it comes to Viktor Hovland this week. --Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller
