Ty Gibbs Finishes Strong In Atlanta
2 years agoTy Gibbs is still learning in this his first full season in the NASCAR Cup Series, and the Ambetter Health 400 was a strong building block for the young driver. Gibbs began the race in the 35th starting position and was able to work his way into the top 20 at the end of Stage 1. As Stage 2 came to an end, he was just one spot outside the top 20. Gibbs was involved in an incident on Lap 190 when Ross Chastain spun Kevin Harvick, but he only suffered minimal damage. Over the last 70 laps, he was able to make his way into the top 10 and score his best finish of the season in ninth.
