2 years agoThe good news is that Denny Hamlin has two wins over the last 15 races on superspeedway tracks over the last two years. The bad news is that the wins came back in 2020. In the new NextGen car, Hamlin has found little success over the last seven races. He only has one finish in the top five, finishing fifth at the fall race in Talladega. When you exclude that finish, Hamlin has an average finish of 25th over the other six races. Hamlin is one of only two Toyotas in the top 15 on the starting grid. He holds a top-two driver rating on these tracks and now just needs his finishes to correspond with that ranking.--Eric DeWilde
