Ryan Yarbrough Continues Making Progress
2 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Ryan Yarbrough (groin) threw one inning during a minor league game on Thursday. Manager Matt Quatraro mentioned that everything went great during his outing. The left-hander has been dealing with a minor groin injury throughout camp. The hope is that Yarbrough will be able to make a Cactus League appearance soon. He is progressing well and should be available on Opening Day. However, his exact role with the team is unknown right now. Yarbrough has been a swingman throughout his career, so it's possible he continues with that role in Kansas City. The 31-year-old could have some streaming appeal when starting, but it would be dependent on the lineup he's pitching against on that day.
