Drew Lock, Seahawks Agree To One-Year Contract
2 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock agreed to a one-year deal on Thursday to return to the team. The signal-caller will make a base salary of $4 million, although his new agreement could allow him to collect as much as $7.5 million. Lock has thrown for 4,740 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions since entering the league in 2019. He'll continue to back up Geno Smith, who just signed on with the Seahawks for three additional seasons. As a result, the 28-year-old won't have any fantasy value as long as he's on the bench, so managers won't look his way unless Smith gets hurt. At the same time, Seattle may take a quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft, jeopardizing Lock's fantasy potential even more.
