Johnny Gaudreau Ties Franchise Record With A Five-Point Game
2 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Johnny Gaudreau tied a franchise record with a five-point effort in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win against San Jose. He became the fifth Blue Jackets player to register five points in a single game, and Gaudreau capped off his third career five-point game in style by scoring the game-winning goal in overtime. He finished with two goals in total and dished out three assists. Gaudreau had scored just once in his previous 12 appearances and it's been a disappointing debut campaign for him in Columbus, but he's still close to averaging a point per game, having produced 17 goals and 45 assists across 64 outings.
