Jeff Petry Under Evaluation Following Tuesday's Exit
2 years agoPittsburgh Penguins defenseman Jeff Petry exited Tuesday's game against Montreal with an undisclosed injury. It was an awful night all around for him, as Petry was minus-three in the contest across 14:52 of action. Follow blue-liner Jan Rutta was also hurt, leaving the Penguins with four defensemen. Both players are currently being evaluated to determine the severity of their injuries. Petry would be a great loss for the team, as the veteran has been very effective at both ends of the ice, notching 26 points in 51 games with 167 hits and 86 blocks. Pittsburgh returns to the ice Thursday against the Rangers and there should be more known about Petry's and Rutta's condition by then.
