Shelby Harris To Be Released
2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks plan to release defensive lineman Shelby Harris, according to a source. The Seahawks have explored trade possibilities but have yet to find a taker for the nine-year veteran who played well in 2022. Harris was part of last year's Russell Wilson deal and is set to make $9 million in 2023. After being acquired from the Denver Broncos, Harris had 44 tackles (24 solo), two sacks, five tackles for loss, six QB hits and four passes defensed in 15 starts in his first season in Seattle. The 31-year-old former seventh-round pick in 2014 by the Las Vegas Raiders has 261 tackles (151 solo), 24.5 sacks, 40 tackles for loss, 52 QB hits, one interception, 29 passes defensed and three forced fumbles in eight NFL seasons, so he could attract some interest on the trade market.
