Following their offseason trade for Matthew Stafford, the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021. However, the 2022 season was a complete nightmare for the Rams.
They were embarrassed on opening night, losing 31-10 to the Buffalo Bills. Things only went downhill from there for Los Angeles. The team struggled with injuries on both sides of the ball. When Cooper Kupp suffered a season-ending injury, everyone knew the Rams would miss the playoffs.
Despite a late-season push, Los Angeles ended the year with a 5-12 record. Unfortunately, the Detroit Lions will reap the benefits. The Lions hold the sixth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft as part of the Stafford deal two years ago.

What Are The Los Angeles Rams Biggest Needs On Offense?
Despite Twitter falling for another rumor, the Rams are not trading Stafford this offseason. However, they have a few needs on offense. At the top of the list is the offensive line. The unit was solid in 2021, with Andrew Whitworth leading the way.
However, they struggled last season. Los Angeles also dealt with injuries along the offensive line all year. Hopefully, the unit can stay healthy next season. More importantly, the Rams need to add depth. They have five offensive linemen hitting the open market next week.
While Los Angeles doesn't have a first-round pick, they can find an impact player with their early second-round selection. One potential target is Cody Mauch. The former North Dakota State offensive tackle has improved his draft stock since an impressive performance at the Senior Bowl.
Mauch played offensive tackle in college, but many believe his best NFL position is at guard. Meanwhile, starting left guard left guard David Edwards is a free agent this offseason. Mauch would be an excellent replacement for Edwards.
What Are The Los Angeles Rams Biggest Needs On Defense?
The Rams are undergoing several chances on defense this offseason. They recently released Bobby Wagner and will cut Leonard Floyd when the new league year starts next week.
Los Angeles has also explored trade options for Jalen Ramsey. However, moving on from these players will leave the team looking for three new starters. One potential replacement option for Ramsey is Emmanuel Forbes. The former Mississippi State cornerback had 14 interceptions in his college career, including six he returned for a touchdown.
