Triston Casas Stays Hot At The Plate This Spring
2 years agoBoston Red Sox first base prospect Triston Casas continued to hit in Tuesday's 10-2 Grapefruit League win over the Braves. The 23-year-old went 2-for-3 with a single, a double, an RBI, a walk and a strikeout. He is now batting .444 with two home runs in 18 spring at-bats. Casas is Boston's top-ranked prospect and enters the 2023 season poised to be their everyday first baseman. He only slashed .197/.358/.408 in his first 95 plate appearances with the Red Sox last season, but he slashed an impressive .273/.382/.481 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI in 317 plate appearances with Triple-A Worcester. Casas remains a top fantasy name in dynasty leagues and also could prove to be a useful pick this season in mixed leagues if he can tap into his power potential.
