Gunnar Henderson Off To Slow Start
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop/third base prospect Gunnar Henderson went 0-for-3 with a walk and strikeout on Tuesday versus the Minnesota Twins. Arguably the top prospect in the game right now, Henderson has come out of the gates sluggish this spring with just two hits in his first 13 at-bats. The 21-year-old has flown through the Orioles system and spent the last month of the season in the big leagues where he held his own with a .259 batting average to go along with four homers and 18 RBI in 116 at-bats. Henderson has shown the ability to make adjustments throughout his career and managers shouldn't worry about his slow start this spring yet. Likely to open the season at shortstop or third base, Henderson should be on draft boards in all formats with his ability to hit for power and add speed.
