2 years agoYou would never have known Jon Jones was away from the Octagon for three years after his main-event performance at UFC 285 on Saturday. In 2:04 of action, Jones tallied five significant strikes but scored on both takedown tries and eventually locked in a guillotine choke to capture the vacant heavyweight championship over Ciryl Gane. Jones' biggest enemy when he has been champion in the UFC has always been himself. If he can keep himself out of trouble and out of the negative spotlight, it would not be a surprise to see Jones successfully defend the title several times.--Matt Bricker
