2 years agoIt's been almost a full year since Alex Bowman was at victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He got a surprise win in last year's Pennzoil 400 in a race where Hendrick Motorsports took three of the top 5 spots. This weekend in Sin City, Bowman qualified 11th for Sunday's Pennzoil 400, and while it was his teammates (William Byron and Kyle Larson) that showed off their speed during Saturday's practice session, Bowman still looked solid on the chart, posting the 13th-best ten-lap average. Typically, whenever one team has speed, all of the cars shine on race day, so keep an eye out for Alex Bowman to potentially challenge for another win in Las Vegas this weekend.--Jordan McAbee
