Colts Unsure On The Future Of Matt Ryan
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan might not be on the team for much longer. The expectation is that the team will cut Ryan ahead of his $35.2 million salary becoming guaranteed on March 17th. The Colts would save $17.2 million by cutting Ryan, so that is likely what they will do as they head towards a rebuild. Despite that, general manager Chris Ballard says the team is uncertain on the future of Ryan. It's hard to believe that the Colts would keep Ryan after his performance last season. Ryan threw 13 interceptions and had a season-high 15 fumbles last season. This team is heading into a rebuild and have the 4th overall pick in the upcoming draft. The expectation is that they will cut Ryan and save that money for free agency. The 37-year-old should be able to find a job elsewhere as a possible bridge quarterback.
