DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 2/28/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Keegan Murray daily college fantasy basketball CFB DFS picks March Madness

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 2/28/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

We have come to the last day of February and with it, the last week of the college basketball regular season. We tip off this big one with Butler hosting Marquette for the Early Bird. 7 pm brings us the Georgia version of the World's Largest (Indoor) Cocktail Party. Iowa heads to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers. Boston College heads to the forests of North Carolina to take on Wake. Clemson heads up to Virginia to take on the struggling Hoos. NC State runs over to Durham to take on Duke.

We have to wait an hour and a half for the next tip, featuring Villanova in the Big Apple to take on St. John's. We close this out with five 9 pm games. San Diego State heads up to Boise to freeze their basketballs off. A&M heads to Oxford to take on Ole Miss. Arkansas heads up to Knoxville to take on the Vols. Michigan State heads to Lincoln to take on the Huskers. We close this out in Lawrence with the Red Raiders dealing with the Phog. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/28/23, starting at 5:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Tyler Kolek, Marquette ($9,100)

Kolek is usually more of a facilitator, but he has scored 17.9 points per game over the last eight contests. It's no coincidence that Marquette has won all but one of those games. His assist numbers are up there with his season averages, and he piled up 14 of them over the weekend against DePaul. Kolek is peaking at the right time as Marquette makes their case for as high as a three seed. Expect more of the same tonight.

Wade Taylor IV, Texas A&M ($8,000)

Taylor had a bit of a pedestrian start to the season, but he has at least 29 DraftKings points in six straight games. The Aggies have surged into the NCAA Tournament talk and I heard a commentator call Taylor the best point guard in the SEC. I thought he was just being facetious, but that might not be the case. Taylor is a high-volume scorer that knows how to get to the line and he has still managed his season average of four assists in five of the last seven games. He's the reason the Aggies have taken off. Expect his output to stay this high.

Riley Kugel, Florida ($6,100)

Kugel has emerged as the go-to guy for scoring with Colin Castleton out. The Gators are rotating several bigs to make up for the rebounding and rim protection, but they aren't much for scorers. That's a role that Kugel has filled admirably. He has 61 points in three games since Castleton went down and is shooting nearly 50% from the floor in that span. The volume is going to be there once again and this is a great matchup against Georgia.

Sam Hoiberg, Nebraska ($4,400)

Okay, let's try this again. I recommended Hoiberg once earlier in the season and Nebraska ended up putting him into the starting lineup for that game. What I thought would be his coming-out party was a complete disaster in which Hoiberg played just 11 minutes and didn't score a point against Illinois. Since then, Hoiberg hasn't played less than 19 minutes and he back-to-back games over 20 DraftKings points. Yes, I'm jumping back on the horse that bucked me off back in January. Wish me luck...

Also consider: Jarkel Joiner, North Carolina State ($8,900); Gradey Dick, Kansas ($7,800); Jayden Taylor, Butler ($7,600); Tyson Walker, Michigan State ($6,900); Max Rice, Boise State ($6,500); Nick Smith, Arkansas ($6,300); Justin Moore, Villanova ($6,000); Keisei Tominaga, Nebraska ($5,600); Jaeden Zackery, Boston College ($5,200) Jaden Akins, Michigan State ($5,000); Trey Galloway, Indiana ($4,700); Mark Armstrong, Virginia ($3,700)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Kris Murray, Iowa ($9,500)

Us DFS sorts are inconsiderate of the feelings of these players. TJD hadn't been below 45 DraftKings points in over a month, but he has been in the 30s two games in a row. What do I do? I use the guy playing against him. I have no use for the nostalgia of the leaderboards that TJD vaulted me up. I'm chasing the next biggest thing, which is Murray. He has cracked 50 DraftKings points twice in the last five games and outperformed TJD in the first meeting. There is risk here, but we save $1,700 and might get the same production.

Fardaws Aimaq, Texas Tech ($7,400)

The Utah Valley transfer missed a large chunk of the season thanks to a foot injury, but the surge of the Red Raiders has corresponded with Aimaq's return to the lineup. The Red Raiders have won four straight before dropping a heartbreaker over the weekend to TCU. Don't blame Aimaq. He had another strong game, posting his fourth straight game in double figures in points and eclipsing 27 DraftKings points. Yes, I'm using him against Kansas. The price is still very reasonable for the numbers Aimaq is putting up.

Bobi Klintman, Wake Forest ($5,400)

The Deacons finally found their man in the middle. The freshman has played at least 20 minutes in every game this month and has at least 20 DraftKings points in three of the last four. He missed because of a foul-plagued wreck of a game against NC State, but he hit that mark against a couple of good teams in Miami and Notre Dame. He should be good for another strong game against Boston College.

Miller Kopp, Indiana ($4,500)

Kopp has played a lot of minutes all season long. That's nothing new. However, he is taking more shots of late, giving him a little more upside. Kopp has hit 9-of-15 from beyond the arc in the last three games. As long as he's hitting those long-range shots, he'll keep getting more of them. You can do worse than a sniper that plays 30 minutes at this price.

Also consider: Trayce Jackson-Davis, Indiana ($11,200); Derrick Walker, Nebraska ($8,200); PJ Hall, Clemson ($8,000); Eric Dixon, Villanova ($7,300); Jayden Gardner, Virginia ($6,600); Mark Mitchell, Duke ($6,200); Malik Hall, Michigan State ($5,200); Devin McGlockton, Boston College ($4,800); Matt Marsh, Wake Forest ($4,600); Aleks Szymczyk, Florida ($4,000)
