Ryan Blaney was looking to improve on his 18th-place finish here at Auto Club Speedway from 2022, and the race started off on the right foot for him when he began from the ninth position. Blaney was able to run up front during Stage 1 and was able to secure the second-most points of the stage with a second-place finish. However, Blaney was an unfortunate victim of the multi-car accident during the restart of Stage 2. Blaney was able to continue in the race, but his car was not the same. He sustained heavy damage to his No. 12 Ford Mustang in the wreck and was able to salvage a 26th-place finish. Blaney has two top-five finishes at Las Vegas and will look to get his season back on the right track next weekend.--Eric DeWilde
