DeVonta Smith Leads Eagles In Receiving Yards In Super Bowl Loss
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught 7-of-9 targets and gained 100 yards during the team's 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl LVII. Coming into the season with low expectations due to the addition of wide receiver A.J. Brown, Smith proved the doubters wrong by leading the team in receptions and finishing as a top-10 fantasy receiver. The 24-year-old finished the regular season strong, netting eight or more targets nine weeks in a row. He also led the team in receiving yards during the playoffs. With no receivers of note leaving Philadelphia this offseason, Smith will enter the 2023 offseason as a borderline WR1, a far cry from where he was drafted this past August.
