Kenneth Gainwell Tallies 41 Yards In Super Bowl LVII
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell took seven carries for 21 yards and added four receptions for 20 yards during the team's 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. The second-year back recorded as many carries as starter Miles Sanders and outproduced him. While it was not an incredible stat line, Gainwell has shown over the past two months of football that he has the juice to handle a more significant workload in 2023. With Sanders set to be a free agent and other players likely ranking as a higher priority for Philadelphia this offseason, there is a real chance Gainwell enters the 2023 regular season as the starting back. If so, then the 23-year-old with have back-end RB2 potential for fantasy purposes. Even if Philadelphia adds more players to the backfield, Gainwell will have FLEX value after proving he is a valuable asset this past season.
