The 2023 NFL Draft is a few months away. Yet, the excitement is growing by the day. While everyone is talking about the quarterback class, there are plenty of talented wide receivers this year.
One of those talented wide receivers is Jalin Hyatt from Tennessee. While he hasn’t received the national attention like Jordan Addison from USC and Jaxon Smith-Njigba from Ohio State, Hyatt is a potential first-round pick.
As we get closer to the NFL Draft, the former Tennessee Volunteer will get more national attention from the media.

What Did Jalin Hyatt Do In His College Career?
Over the first two years of his career, Hyatt had 41 receptions for 502 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Hyatt had similar stats in both years. He wasn’t considered a legitimate NFL prospect until this past season.
Last year Hyatt turned into a superstar for Tennessee. The former Volunteer had 67 receptions for 1,267 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. He had the third-most receptions in the SEC last year. Furthermore, Hyatt led the conference in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
More importantly, the Tennessee star receiver repeatedly used his speed to create separation. According to PFF, Hyatt ranked in the 99th percentile in separation last year.
The one thing NFL teams love more than anything else on offense is speed.
Which Team Could Pick Jalin Hyatt In The 2023 NFL Draft?
Speaking of speed, Hyatt said his goal for the 40-yard dash is 4.29 seconds. Only 16 players have ever run a faster 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine.
If the Tennessee star can run a 4.29 40-yard dash, he will shoot up draft boards. Furthermore, Hyatt will likely become a first-round draft pick if he runs a 40-yard dash under 4.3 seconds.
One potential landing spot for the star receiver is the New York Giants. While they found a diamond in the rough with Isaiah Hodgins this season, the Giants lack a true No. 1 wide receiver. Furthermore, Darius Slayton is a free agent in March.
Another possible landing spot is the Minnesota Vikings. Justin Jefferson is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. However, Adam Thielen could be a cap casualty this offseason. Even if the veteran returns in 2023, the Vikings need to add more speed at the wide receiver position.
