Tom Brady Files Retirement Papers Friday
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady officially fired a letter on Friday with the NFL and NFL Players Association, reconfirming his Feb. 1 retirement, according to sources. For those still with hope that Brady would back out of retirement for a second time in two years, this silences any questions about whether he might return and makes him eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2028. We have a sneaking suspicion he'll get in on his first try. The 45-year-old was already the greatest QB in the history of the NFL well before he even joined the Buccaneers to win his seventh Super Bowl ring. Brady spent 23 illustrious years in the league and will walk away as the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards (89,214) and touchdown passes (649). He won seven Super Bowl rings, was named the Super Bowl MVP five times and also earned three NFL MVP awards.
