Dylan Guenther Assigned To WHL
2 years agoArizona Coyotes right wing Dylan Guenther has been assigned to the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds and won't play in the NHL this season anymore. The 19-year-old, who was the ninth pick of the 2021 draft, skated in 33 games for the Coyotes, scoring six times and registering 15 points. He started the season with the club but missed most of December and the start of January due to his commitments to Team Canada at the World Juniors Championships, where Guenther was one of the top goal-scorers. Guenther is an exciting prospect who should have a bright future in the NHL, but he still needs time to develop and the Coyotes believe that sending him back to the WHL is the best step for him at present.
