BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 54% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Let's not focus on the wrong things when discussing Dillon Brooks, folks. That little thing he did to Donovan Mitchell sucked, I loathed to watch it, but that's it for our fantasy purposes. So, Dillon Brooks.
Brooks got hit with a one-game suspension, so he should be cleared to start next week with Memphis playing on Sunday, the game he's expected to miss. From that on, it's all good on Brooks' front. And that front is indeed so good for this man to be part of barely 50% of all ESPN leagues' rosters.
Brook's usage rate won't ever amount to any gaudy percentage because he's just not going to take shots from Ja or JJJ inside. But this man can do a bit of everything. The per-minute efficiency (FP/min) is always bad because of the large minutes of play he gets (31 MPG in the 2023 calendar year alone, 16 games) but he hits good benchmarks overall on the counting stats.
From New Year's on, Brooks is averaging 11+ PPG, 3+ RPG, 2+ APG, and nearly 1.0 SPG. The shooting is plain bad (35% from the floor) though the volume is reasonably high with almost 13 FGA per game in the past month and change and Brooks has hit nylon at least once from beyond the three-point arc in 13 of his last 16 matches.
Brooks is one of only 14 players putting up a 15-3-2 stat line nightly while turning the ball over fewer than two times per game and hitting at least 1.9 3PM a pop. He's the worst shooter overall among those in that group, yes, but he makes up for that with his bulky attempts from the field and brute force when it comes to hitting three-point shots.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
