Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd has played third-fiddle to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins over the last two seasons, but he still has plenty of fantasy football value as a best-ball player or a "handcuff" wide receiver.
Boyd suffered an injury in the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs, so his status could be uncertain heading into the offseason. The Bengals will have some decisions to make heading into 2023, so Boyd's fantasy outlook could be impacted significantly.
Will Boyd be ready for training camp and what is his fantasy outlook next season? Let's dive in.

Tyler Boyd Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Boyd (thigh) finished with two catches for 40 yards in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran looked good early but suffered a left thigh injury in the second quarter, so he was a non-factor for the remainder of the night. The 29-year-old finished the regular season with 58 receptions for 762 yards and five touchdowns.
Ultimately, there hasn't been any new news surrounding his injury, which is probably a good sign that he's not dealing with anything major.
Tyler Boyd 2023 Fantasy Outlook
Boyd is still under contract for 2023, so it's safe to say he'll be back for at least one more season in Cincinnati. However, rumors are swirling about a potential Tee Higgins trade, so there could be major changes coming to the Joe Burrow-led offense.
If Higgins demands top dollar this offseason much like A.J. Brown did in Tennessee, there's a chance he could be dealt. It might sound crazy, but the Bengals will have to fork over a ton of cash to quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase in the near future. These are just rumors for now, so it's too early to overreact. However, if Higgins is on a new team next year, Boyd could be in for a WR2 season in fantasy as Burrow's No. 2 target.
If Higgins is not traded, Boyd will be in the same situation for the third-straight year. He'll be worth a best ball draft choice, but his floor will be low as a WR3 on his own team, even in one of the best offenses. He could hit free agency in 2024, but for now, it's tough to get too excited about him as more than a decent flex option tied to a great quarterback.
