Hayden Hurst Set To Be A Free Agent
2 years agoTight end Hayden Hurst signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals this past offseason. He is set to be a free agent in 2023. The 29-year-old made a decent impact for the Bengals this season, catching 54 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns over 13 games. Cincinnati has $44 million in salary cap space but is expected to sign star quarterback Joe Burrow to an extension, making him one of the highest-paid players in league history. According to Paul Dehere of The Athletic, the Bengals would like to bring Hurst back in 2023, especially with backup Drew Sample becoming a free agent this offseason. Hurst will be a steady contributor and a mid-range TE2 if he returns to Cincinnati in 2023.
