The Cincinnati Bengals ended the 2022 NFL season with a 12-4 record, finishing first in the AFC North division.
After losing two straight to start the year, the Bengals won 12 of their final 14 games. Furthermore, they won eight straight to end the regular season, including a 27-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The team faced the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the playoffs.
Following their 24-17 win against the Ravens, Cincinnati destroyed the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the playoffs, winning 27-10. However, they couldn’t pull off the win in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs, losing 23-20.

What Draft Picks Do The Cincinnati Bengals Own?
Last year the Bengals made it to the Super Bowl but lost to the Los Angeles Rams. After having the 31st overall pick in the draft last year, Cincinnati will have the 28th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Overall, the team has seven picks in the draft this year. The Bengals typically don’t make trades involving draft capital, so it’s no surprise they still have all seven of their original picks.
Who Could The Cincinnati Bengals Draft In The First Round?
Cincinnati used their first three picks last year on defense, including their first-round selection on Daxton Hill. However, the team used their previous five first-round picks on offense. Fans should expect an offensive player picked this year too.
There are two primary needs for the Bengals on offense: tight end and running back. After losing C.J. Uzomah in free agency last offseason, Cincinnati signed Hayden Hurst to replace him. However, it was only a one-year deal. Furthermore, the veteran tight end will likely receive a massive offer on the open market in March.
One potential draft target for the Bengals is Utah’s Dalton Kincaid. The tight end had 70 receptions for 890 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his final college career. Furthermore, he made several impressive catches during his time at Utah.
Another option is Bijan Robinson. Joe Mixon had one of the worst years of his career in 2022. Furthermore, the Bengals can release the running back this offseason and save $7.3 million in salary cap space. If Cincinnati moves on from Mixon, Robinson would be an excellent replacement. The Longhorn star had a career-high 18 rushing touchdowns in his final year at Texas.
