DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/1/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Kristaps Porzingis - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on February 1, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We have a typically robust nine-game slate on tap Wednesday night, one that doesn't feature any double-digit spreads but does have six games with projected totals over 230 points, including a pair of at least 240, as of late Tuesday night.

We have players all across the salary cap in favorable matchups as well, particularly in matchups that involve Western Conference teams, several of which have questionable defenses.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the respective main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/1/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG/SG, OKC at HOU ($10,200 DK, $10,700 FD)

Gilgeous-Alexander put together yet another stellar showing Monday night against the Warriors, scoring over 50 fantasy points on both sites while logging double-digit visits to the charity stripe for the second straight contest. SGA has scored over 30 actual points in five straight games, a stretch during which he's 57.7 percent, including an elite 66.7 percent from three-point range.

The Rockets have allowed the third-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (29.5), and they're also tied for the second-most assists per game given up to the position (9.5). Houston has also yielded the most DK (54.9) and most FD (54) points per game to ones, and the Rockets have given up 36.7 percent three-point shooting overall, giving SGA plenty of paths to fantasy success.

De'Aaron Fox - PG, SAC at SAS ($8,200 DK, $8,600 FD)

Fox outpaced his salaries yet again Monday night in a win against the Timberwolves, recording over 50 fantasy points on both sites across 41 minutes. The fifth-year guard actually saw a $100 reduction in salary on DK, and he now faces a Spurs team that he's already shot 61.1 percent against in two prior games, including 42.9 percent from three-point range.

The Spurs have surrendered 49.1 percent shooting, including 41.8 percent from three-point range, to point guards, along with the highest offensive efficiency rating to the position (31.7). San Antonio is also conceding over 52 fantasy points per game on either site over the last seven, and Fox also posted 46.8 DK/46.6 FD points in one of his two prior games against the Spurs.

D'Angelo Russell - PG/SG, MIN vs. GSW ($7,100 DK, $7,000 FD)

Russell is another guard whose salary seems stuck in neutral at the moment, certainly a welcome development considering he's scored over 40 DK points in three of his last five games and has eclipsed the mark on FD twice in that span. The veteran point guard now gets a crack at one of his former squads, and the Warriors present as appealing targets on a couple of fronts.

Golden State is allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (28.5), along with the fourth-most DK (52.2) and fifth-most FD (51.5) points per game to the position in the last 15 games. The Dubs are also giving up the second-highest three-point shooting percentage on the road (40.7), while Russell is draining an elite 48.7 percent of his three-point attempts in the last 13 games.

ALSO CONSIDER: Ja Morant - PG, MEM vs. POR ($10,400 DK, $10,200 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kristaps Porzingis - PF/C, WAS at DET ($9,000 DK, $9,500 FD)

Porzingis returned from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury Monday against the Spurs with a bang, posting 54.3 DK/60.3 FD points across just 30 minutes. The big man isn't in as quite an appealing matchup Wednesday, but the Pistons have been vulnerable to power forwards and also conceded 31.3 DK/28.4 FD points across 25 minutes to Porzingis in one prior meeting this season.

The Pistons have allowed the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to power forwards (27.0), and they've given up 36.8 percent three-point shooting to the position as well. Detroit is also giving up the fifth-most DK (51.9) and FD (49.0) points per game to fours in the last seven games, and the Pistons have surrendered the third-most blocks per game as well (5.7); meanwhile, Porzingis has recorded multiple rejections in three of the last four and is averaging 1.6 per contest on the season.

Mikal Bridges - SF/SG, PHO vs. ATL ($7,000 DK, $7,300 FD)

Bridges has boosted his production during Devin Booker's extended absence with a hamstring injury, averaging 18.8 points, 4.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals while shooting an impressive 41.3 percent from three-point range during his teammate's 18-game-and-counting sabbatical. The talented wing has shown an excellent ceiling while eclipsing 40 DK and FD points on seven occasions during that span, and he'll now face what's been one of the more generous teams in the league to shooting guards in Atlanta.

The Hawks rank 20th in offensive efficiency rating allowed to twos (22.8), and they've yielded the eighth-highest three-point shooting percentage to the position as well (38.4). Atlanta has also given up more production than usual to shooting guards recently, yielding over 44 fantasy points per game in the last 15 contests.

Deni Avdija - SF, WAS at DET ($5,400 DK, $6,000 FD)

Avdija is another member of the Wizards who holds an appeal at his salaries Wednesday, and he checks into the contest having put together an impressive body of work in recent games. The third-year wing has two double-doubles in the last four games, and he's coming off having scored a career-high 25 points against the Spurs on Monday night.

Avdija scored 27.3 DK/29.4 FD points against the Pistons in his one prior encounter with Detroit this season, and he's generated at least a 5x return on his DK salary in 21 games and on his FD salary on 17 occasions. The Pistons are also surrendering NBA-high 38.6 percent three-point shooting at home, while Avdija is shooting an improved 37.5 percent from distance in the last six contests.

ALSO CONSIDER: Keegan Murray - PF, SAC at SAN ($5,100 DK, $5,600 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Pascal Siakam - C/PF, TOR at UTA ($9,400 DK, $9,200 FD)

Siakam has repeatedly capitalized on favorable matchups this season, and he'll certainly be in another one Wednesday night in the form of a Jazz team that's had plenty of trouble containing centers. The big man could be much lower rostered than usual, however, as there are 18 teams in action and Siakam has actually disappointed in three consecutive games relative to his salaries.

However, the Jazz have allowed the eighth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (33.3), while Utah is giving up over 58 fantasy points per game on either site in the last 15 contests. The Jazz have also surrendered the seventh-most points in the paint per home game (53.1), furthering Siakam's case for a bounce-back performance after failing to crack 35 fantasy points on either site in any of the last three games.

Alperen Sengun - C, HOU vs. OKC ($8,800 DK, $8,300 FD)

Sengun is one of several individual feel-good stories for the Rockets in what is a generally abysmal season for the team, as the young big has been a true revelation down low. Sengun went over 60 fantasy points on both sites two games ago with his first career triple-double, and he hasn't been under 30 DK points in the last 10 games or under 30 FD points in his last nine contests.

Sengun put together his second-best fantasy performance of the season the one previous time he faced the Thunder, producing 65.3 DK/66.3 FD points on the strength of a 21-point, 19-rebound double-double. OKC is allowing the 11th-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (32.2), along with over 55 fantasy points per game to the position on both sites. Then, the Thunder surrender an NBA-high 56.3 rebounds per road game, which brightens Sengun's prospects further.

Brandon Clarke - C/PF, MEM vs. POR ($6,000 DK, $6,000 FD)

Clarke should continue in his starting role Wednesday with Steven Adams (knee) sidelined, and he's averaged 15.7 points (on 75.0 percent shooting), 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals across his first three games with the first unit. The young big has averaged a solid 25.7 minutes per game while eclipsing 30 fantasy points twice apiece on each site in that span, and he now draws what's been one of the best matchups for centers in the last several weeks.

The Trail Blazers have given up the third-most DK (58.1) and FD (57.3) points per game to centers on the season, including a whopping 71.9 DK/70.3 FD points per game to the position in the last seven contests. Clarke has seen a slight rise in salaries, but he should still have a good chance of delivering a strong return given the matchup.

ALSO CONSIDER: Joel Embiid, PHI vs. ORL ($11,200 DK, $11,500 FD)
