Happy Tuesday RotoBallers! To end January we've got a solid 5-game slate, headlined by the TNT doubleheader. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/31/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG, CLE vs MIA ($8,600 DK, $8,100 FD)
Mitchell missed a few games due to a groin injury, then he only played 20 minutes in the Cavs' win over the Clippers due to the Cavs cruising to an easy win where all the starters rested in the 4th quarter. As a result, his price has dipped and he projects really well. The Heat currently trail the Cavs for the #5 seed in the east by 2.5 games, so I expect this to be a tight game, where the Cavs starters play huge minutes because of their easy win and extra rest on Sunday.
Dennis Schroder - PG/SG, LAL @ NYK ($6,200 DK, $6,000 FD)
The Lakers will be without their superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis tonight, so it'll be all hands on deck. I prefer Schroder to Russell Westbrook with the $2,500 in savings, but I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to roll the dice on a vintage Russ game. I imagine Schroder will get his fair share of ball-handling opportunities regardless of Westbrook, and he's shown to be a capable fantasy asset when this kind of usage presents itself.
Reggie Jackson - PG/SG, LAC @ CHI ($3,400 DK, $4,000 FD)
I wrote up Jackson last week and he went off for 31.25 DK points against the Lakers, so why not double-dip? Jackson has posted 20+ DK points in 3 straight, and while some of that has been without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the thing to pay attention to is Jackson is averaging over 1 fantasy point per minute. John Wall is still sidelined which gives Jackson just enough extra oomph to get the minutes needed to post a DFS-relevant stat line.
Others to consider: Jrue Holiday ($8,500 DK, $7,700 FD), Tyler Herro ($6,700 DK, $7,100 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF/C, MIL vs CHA ($12,000 DK, $12,200 FD)
Fresh off a 50 burger against the Pelicans, Giannis is in another absolutely prime spot to dominate. The Hornets continue to be a disaster against big men, and in the two games that Bobby Portis has missed Giannis is averaging 72 DK ppg. There is some blowout potential, as the Hornets continue to struggle, but the ceiling is possibly the highest on the slate so you can't fade completely.
Michael Porter Jr. - SF, DEN vs NO ($5,700 DK, $5,900 FD)
After missing 3 games, Porter returned to action against the Sixers, arguably the best defense in the league, and posted a solid 30 points on DK, and if you watched the game, looked pretty good in general. This Nuggets/Pelicans game has an over/under line of 229.5, and if there is scoring galore, that's the kind of game Porter Jr shines in.
Troy Brown Jr. - SF, LAL @ NYK ($3,400 DK, $3,900 FD)
Continuing with the Lakers theme, Brown presents a dirt-cheap option that has a very real chance to see 30+ minutes. Brown is usually pretty low volume offensively, but with the 40 combined shots a night left on the table by the Lakers' missing stars, there's no way Brown isn't more involved offensively than usual. If he gets you 20+ you're happy, and he probably doesn't even need to score 1 fantasy point-per-minute to do so.
Others to consider: Rui Hachimura ($5,000 DK, $4,900 FD), Larry Nance Jr. ($4,100 DK, $4,500 FD)
DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs NO ($11,800 DK, $11,400 FD)
Jokic gets the Pelicans for the second Tuesday in a row so I'll reiterate most of what I said last week:
Still priced under $12k, I love Jokic. He's now posted a triple-double in 6 of 8 games and recorded one and 59.75 DK points last week in this same matchup. That game was uncharacteristically low-scoring and Jokic still did well enough to be a "good" play for the night. Assuming this game ends a bit closer to its opening points line of 229.5, Jokic should be able to post another elite fantasy outing.
Thomas Bryant - C, LAL @ NYK ($5,500 DK, $5,200 FD)
I'm sure you've already guessed this one at this point. The Lakers offer the best value on the slate, and Bryant as a legit double-double threat at this price is a no-brainer.
Others to consider: Isaiah Hartenstein ($3,600 DK, $3,600 FD)
