Is A.J. Brown Hurt Or Healthy?
It has been a successful and relatively injury-free season for A.J. Brown. In his first campaign in a Philadelphia uniform, Brown has been sensational, ending the regular season with career highs in receptions (88), receiving yards (1,496), and TDs (11).
The explosive playmaker did suffer a minor injury in last week's blowout Divisional Round victory over the New York Giants. Brown tweaked his hip against the G-Men and reeled in just three catches for 22 yards. After popping up on the Eagles' injury report at the start of the week, Brown was removed from the injury report Wednesday. He appears to be a full go for the NFC Conference Championship game.
Fantasy Football Outlook For A.J. Brown This Week
The Eagles' star wideout appears to have dodged a serious injury, as the hip issue that flared up last weekend against the Giants seems very minor.
With Philly blowing out the Giants early in the game, Brown wasn't needed much in the second half, which likely led to the Eagles playing it safe with their star WR.
That probably won't be the case this Sunday, as the Eagles prepare to tangle with the dangerous San Francisco 49ers for the NFC title. Although the Niners boast one of the NFL's best defenses, they have been susceptible to opposing wide receivers through the air.
San Fran allowed the NFL's third-most receiving yards and fantasy points to the WR position this season. This profiles as a terrific bounce-back spot for Brown after his underwhelming outing in last week's Divisional Round.
