Cameron Brate Could Be Cut This Offseason
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers could cut tight end Cameron Brate this offseason, as they are projected over the salary cap and will look to make cuts for cap purposes. By cutting Brate, the Bucs would save $2 million in cap space. Running back Leonard Fournette, kicker Ryan Succop, and left tackle Donovan Smith could also be cap casualties. Brate caught 20 passes for 170 yards over 11 games in 2022. He took a backseat to rookie Cade Otton, who became Tampa Bay's top pass-catching tight end in 2022. Brate could provide tight end depth and a reliable target for another team if he does become a cap casualty this offseason.
