Many fantasy football players and pundits thought that Jamison Crowder was in line to be a late-round steal at the start of the 2022 NFL season after he inked a deal with the Buffalo Bills. After a couple years being stuck in the pathetic offense of the New York Jets, Crowder was primed to be the slot receiver in one of the most high-powered offenses in the NFL.
Crowder’s body betrayed him again, however, as it has several other times during his career. He broke his ankle in October and was only able to catch six paltry passes for a measly 60 yards. Buffalo handed his starting slot receiver spot to Isaiah McKenzie and then later re-signed longtime veteran Cole Beasley on top of it.
Crowder had a chance of making a splash during the playoffs, though, as he was allowed to be activated before Buffalo’s divisional round playoff tilt against the Cincinnati Bengals. But will Crowder suit up and have an opportunity to save his season? Here is the latest:

Is Jamison Crowder Healthy or Injured?
Crowder will not be a crowd pleaser on Sunday as he will not be activated from the injured reserve for the Cincinnati contest. While he is showing signs of improvement, if we see him in the postseason it will not be until at least the AFC Championship game (if Buffalo makes it).
Even if Crowder was able to get on the field this weekend, his fantasy value would have been close to nil. With McKenzie returning from a hamstring injury and Beasley still in the mix, Crowder might be No. 3 on the slot receiver depth chart. The Bills have more than enough talented pass catchers already with Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Dawson Knox as their top trio. There would not be many targets for Crowder even if he was 100 percent healthy.
If the Bills advance then the odds of Crowder seeing some playoff playing time increases tenfold, but do not bank on him leading you to millions in a DFS contest or a playoff fantasy league. He no longer has a defined role in Buffalo’s passing attack.
