Carson Wentz And Logan Thomas Could Be Released This Offseason
2 years agoWashington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz and tight end Logan Thomas were mostly ineffective during the 2022-2023 campaign and are reportedly in danger of being released by the team this offseason. Although both battled with injuries throughout the year, neither was overly productive when healthy. The Commanders could save over $26 million by cutting ties with Wentz and almost $5.2 million by releasing Thomas. Sam Howell is currently expected to start under center for Washington next season, making a split with Wentz all the more inevitable. If they choose to move on from the 31-year-old Thomas, the Commanders would be left with John Bates, Armani Rogers, and Cole Turner at tight end.
