Jalen Hurts Injury Update
Jalen Hurts returned to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 18 versus the New York Giants following a two-game absence due to a shoulder ailment. With the Eagles having an extra week to prepare as the No. 1 seed in the NFC, Hurts is no longer on the injury report and he isn't concerned with his shoulder ahead of Saturday's rematch against the Giants.
The dual-threat quarterback reportedly suffered a sprained shoulder in Week 15 versus the Chicago Bears. While Hurts' rushing attempts (9) weren't out of the ordinary in Week 18, he rushed for only 13 yards on those attempts, which was the third-fewest he's had in a game this season.
It remains to be seen if the Eagles limit his usage in the running game and if they allow him to get his usual red-zone work. If you believe Hurts will get his typical usage in the red zone and his shoulder is healthier, then he could be a fantastic option in DFS this weekend. On top of that, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert are all fantastic plays on Saturday.
Trevor Lawrence Injury Update
Trevor Lawrence has been on the injury report for the Jacksonville Jaguars since Week 13 versus the Detroit Lions due to a toe injury. Even though he continues to play through the injury, the Jaguars are listing him as questionable for the seventh straight week ahead of Saturday's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The only reason Lawrence continues to get a questionable tag is that the Jaguars are required to do that since he's logging limited practice sessions. The second-year quarterback hasn't missed a game due to the toe injury and he's expected to be fine for Saturday's game.
Lawrence got off to a disastrous start in last week's win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round with four interceptions in the first half. The No. 1 overall pick would bounce back with four touchdowns in the second half. With Lawrence not appearing to be affected by his toe injury, he and the skill players on the Jaguars are solid options in DFS this weekend.
