Lamar Jackson Injury Update
When asked about Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's (knee) availability for the playoffs, head coach John Harbaugh said, "I don't really have an update right now to share with you." An unnamed player said that even if Jackson gets back on the field for the playoffs -- Baltimore plays at the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday in the wild-card round -- he's unlikely to be the normal Lamar Jackson in terms of his physical abilities while battling a Grade 2 PCL sprain.
The 26-year-old QB hasn't played since getting hurt in Week 13, and given the long layoff, it's unrealistic to expect him to come back in right away and flourish if he's active this weekend. Backup Tyler Huntley (shoulder) took the Week 18 regular season finale off, but he's expected to get the start this weekend if Jackson is ruled out.
Tua Tagovailoa Injury Update
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) hasn't been cleared for any football activity yet, but the team is hoping to have more clarity on Wednesday. The Dolphins are hoping for the best and to have Tagovailoa available in the wild-card round this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, but they'll have to see how he progresses through the concussion protocol this week.
The 24-year-old hasn't played since Christmas Day after suffering his second concussion of the year. He'd be a shaky DFS pick against a strong Bills defense if he makes his return this weekend. If he sits out again, there is a chance that Teddy Bridgewater (finger, knee) could start over rookie Skylar Thompson.
Trevor Lawrence Injury Update
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (toe) was a limited participant during Tuesday's practice. The 23-year-old continues to deal with a lingering toe issue, but he has been playing through the issue. The expectation is that Lawrence will continue to play unless the problem gets worse.
The Jaguars have a playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. That being said, Lawrence still has a few days to rest and recover for that game. The Jaguars are likely just being cautious with Lawrence, so that's probably why he was limited in practice.
