Colin Moran Agrees With The Mariners
2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners agreed with free-agent first baseman Colin Moran on a minor-league deal on Tuesday that includes an invite to major-league spring training, according to a source. Moran will head to the American League after spending the 2022 season with the Cincinnati Reds. In 128 plate appearances over 42 games, he hit .211/.305/.376 with a .681 OPS, five home runs, 23 RBI and 11 runs scored. The 30-year-old left-handed-hitting corner infielder will provide an ascending Mariners club with some more corner-infield depth heading into 2023, but he won't be on the fantasy radar. In 502 career games (1,692 plate appearances) over seven big-league seasons, Moran has posted a .263/.327/.415 slash line with 50 homers, 239 RBI, 167 runs scored and a stolen base.
