Is Jalen Hurts Playing Today Against The Giants?
Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts injured his throwing shoulder in a Week 15 win over the Chicago Bears. The injury has sidelined him for the Eagles' last two games. The squad has lost both of those outings with their star QB on the sidelines.
Despite the recent losses, the Eagles still have a chance to clinch the NFC's No. 1 seed with a victory over the New York Giants in Week 18. Hurts has returned to practice in a limited fashion this week in an attempt to return to the lineup. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane is reporting that Hurts will get the start against the Giants in Week 18.
Jalen Hurts Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 18
Hurts is a legitimate MVP candidate and has been one of the top fantasy producers in the NFL in 2022. The Philly signal-caller is the QB1 in average fantasy points per game (26.4) and overall QB3 in fantasy points scored (369.58).
He has been a consistent fantasy force throughout the year and should feast against a New York squad that will likely be resting key starters in Week 18. However, there's a chance that Hurts could be pulled as soon as the Eagles have this game in hand in order to ensure he's healthy for the postseason. That said, if you have Hurts on your fantasy team, you are starting him today.
