Russell Henley Returns To Tournament Of Champions
2 years agoFor the first time since 2018, Russell Henley will play in the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. Henley was one of the last players to earn a spot into the tournament after his win at Mayakoba during the fall swing. Henley has been one of the most consistent players in the last couple of years on the PGA Tour, so the opportunity to play in the event is well-deserved. Henley has had a bit of success in the past at the event, finishing inside the top three in 2015. For Henley to be competitive this week, he will need to find his approach game from last season. During the fall swing, Henley hit under 70% of greens and sits 146th in strokes gained on approach. In the 2021-22 season, Henley finished second on tour in strokes gained on approach and seventh on tour in greens in regulation percentage. Even with his iron struggles in the fall, Henley is worth a look this week due to his under-the-average DFS price.
