Falcons Release Cameron Batson
2 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons released practice-squad wide receiver Cameron Batson on Monday after he was booked and charged with five crimes stemming from his arrest early on Saturday morning. Batson was charged with assault, battery, aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer when engaged on official duty, removal of a weapon from a public official and driving/fleeing to elude a police officer. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison. The 27-year-old has been with the Falcons all season but was never called up to the active roster. In three seasons with the Tennessee Titans, he caught 22 of 29 targets for 197 yards and two touchdowns in 27 games (three starts). There's a good chance we won't see Batson back in the NFL ever again.
