Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has had a breakout year in Mike McDaniel’s first year as the head coach.
The third-year player is the QB13 for the year despite missing two games, averaging 17.8 fantasy points per contest. The star quarterback has 25 passing touchdowns this season after totaling 27 over the first two years of his career.
Unfortunately, Tagovailoa has struggled with concussions this year.

Is Tua Tagovailoa Playing In Week 17?
The star quarterback has suffered multiple concussions this season, reportedly two within a week’s time frame. Furthermore, he suffered another concussion last week against the Green Bay Packers.
Given his history with concussions this season and the scary incident in Week 4, it’s no surprise that Tagovailoa won’t play against the New England Patriots this week.
With Tagovailoa out this week, the veteran Teddy Bridgewater will make his third start this season on Sunday.
Should I Pickup And Start Teddy Bridgewater For Fantasy Football?
The veteran quarterback left after one throw in the Week 5 matchup this season, his first start of the year. However, he had 329 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 18.2 fantasy points the following week against the Minnesota Vikings.
While he played well that week, Bridgewater faced a poor Minnesota secondary. This week, the veteran quarterback faces a New England defense that has held quarterbacks to 11.4 or fewer fantasy points in 40% of the games this season.
Instead, fantasy players should add Mike White off the waiver wire. After missing the past two games with fractured ribs, the veteran quarterback will start Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
In his three starts this season, the former Western Kentucky quarterback has averaged 317.3 passing yards and 17.7 fantasy points per game. He scored 17.5 or more fantasy points in two of those three matchups.
More importantly, White has a fantasy-friendly matchup in Week 17. Seattle has given up 16.8 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, the 11th-most in the NFL. Furthermore, the Seahawks have surrendered two passing touchdowns and 20.1 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past two weeks.
Fantasy players who need a last-minute waiver-wire replacement at quarterback should add White.
