2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield faces the LA Chargers at exactly the wrong time. After an underperforming for most of the season, the Chargers secondary has gotten things together and shut down opposing quarterbacks. In each of the past three games, the Chargers have limited their opponents to less than 200 yards through the air. Last week, the Colts could barely muster 100 passing yards. Even Tua Tagovailoa only completed less than half of his passing attempts and threw for 145 yards against LA in Week 14. PFF graded the Chargers' pass coverage in the high-80s the past two weeks. Mayfield is coming off of his best game of the season, but even while completing 85.7% of his pass attempts, the 27-year-old only finished as the QB12. Mayfield will likely fall out of the top 12 QBs this week, but he could be a high-risk, high-upside QB2.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
