2 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery will face a Lions defense in Week 17 that is allowing the 12th fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. The Lions defensive front had been fantastic against the run over the last month but just got shredded for 280-plus rushing yards by the Panthers last week. The Bears will certainly look to use a run-heavy offensive game plan but Montgomery has struggled to post eye-popping numbers this season. He has failed to top 80-plus rushing yards since Week 2 and the return of Khalil Herbert could eat into his touches this week. Montgomery should easily see double-digit carries in Week 17 but he may need a touchdown to justify starting him as an RB2/3 for the fantasy championship games this weekend.--Joey C - RotoBaller
