Josh Jacobs Will Need Heavy Volume To Return RB1 Value
2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs enters Week 17 as the RB2 in fantasy football (half-PPR), propelled by 306 carries and 11 rushing touchdowns. His usage as a bell-cow running back this year has made him a top-tier option at the position, including finishing as a top-20 RB in seven of the last eight weeks. Jacobs has an uphill battle this week, though, facing off against a San Francisco 49ers defense that ranks as the toughest matchup for opposing fantasy RBs. With quarterback Jarrett Stidham making his first start under center, expect fewer trips to the red zone for the Raiders offense as well. While volume will continue to be steady for Jacobs, fantasy managers should temper expectations in this matchup. Jacobs is a low-end RB1 in fantasy this week.
