DraftKings College Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 12/29/22 - CBB Daily Fantasy Advice

Keegan Murray daily college fantasy basketball CFB DFS picks March Madness

The holidays are over, but the crazy scheduling in the college basketball world will continue through the rest of this week before conference play begins in earnest. That's not to say that we don't have a really good one on DraftKings tonight. We tip this off with Providence in Indianapolis to take on Butler. The only 7 pm tip tonight is in Lincoln when Iowa comes visiting.

8 pm gives us Georgetown in Chi-town to take on DePaul. Florida Atlantic heads over to Denton to take on North Texas. An hour later, we have Tulane heading up to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats. The next hour gives up Utah in Berkeley to take on Cal. We close this one out still in the Bay Area with Colorado heading into Palo Alto to take on the tree. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/29/22, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Bryce Hopkins, Providence ($9,000)

Hopkins has strapped the Friars to his back and carried them over the last fortnight. He has 110.75 DraftKings points in the last two games alone! Both were conference tilts against Marquette and Seton Hall, both of which are solid teams. He has done literally everything against every opponent not named Albany in the month of December, and the only reason he had pedestrian numbers against the Danes is that he only played 21 minutes. Every lineup I build tonight will have Hopkins in it.

Primo Spears, Georgetown ($7,900)

The Hoyas were able to push UConn last week, which was a bit of a surprise. Spears was a big reason why. He has scored at least 18 points in five straight games, including games against Syracuse and Xavier in that span. Georgetown is still not winning games, but they are staying competitive, which bodes well for their use in DFS.

Marco Anthony, Utah ($6,500)

I really like Anthony if Devin Askew is out for Cal again. Even if Askew plays, I can get behind Anthony. He's an efficient scorer but relies on peripherals to hit his value. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in 10 straight games and has gone over 30 three times in the last four games. Utah isn't the most consistent team around, so I'm chasing the peripherals rather that the scorers on this team.

Jalen Terry, DePaul ($4,600)

Terry came off the bench in his return on Christmas Day after missing two weeks with a knee injury. He played 29 minutes against Creighton and racked up 23.5 DraftKings points. Terry was starting to get going before he went down. That kind of performance against a good Creighton team has me optimistic about his prospects for tonight.

Also consider: KJ Simpson, Colorado ($8,400); Jaylen Forbes, Tulane ($7,500); Jalen Cook, Tulane ($7,200); Tylor Perry, North Texas ($6,300); Gabe Madsen, Utah ($5,800); Connor McCaffrey, Iowa ($5,400); Nick Boyd, Florida Atlantic ($4,400); Alyn Breen, Providence ($3,900)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Branden Carlson, Utah ($8,300)

Carlson is a very efficient scorer, but it's his work on the boards and the glass that keeps me coming back. He has 42 rebounds and 20 blocks in six December games. That's a hell of a floor before you even consider his efficient scoring. Cal is a little battered and broken right now. The last thing they want to do is tangle with a talented 7-footer like Carlson.

Ed Croswell, Providence ($7,100)

We have seen the Friars become a player in the month of December. They ousted both Seton Hall and Marquette just before Christmas. Let's hope the break doesn't slow them down. Croswell has at least 23 DraftKings points in every December game for Providence. His price is finally starting to adjust, but I'm still jumping on at this price. He had his first career 20-point effort against the Hall and followed that up with 20 more against Marquette. I'll ride him at this price until he cools off.

Viktor Lakhin, Cincinnati ($6,500)

Lakhin hasn't been under 20 DraftKings points all season so that scores some points with me. He's a high-floor guy, and I love that in all DFS lineups. His work on the boards gives him decent upside since Lakhin always scores in double figures, at least in the games he starts. The Bearcats are going to need a rim protector against the Tulane guards, so I expect Lakhin to be very involved in this game.

Grant Newell, California ($4,900)

Cal has myriads of injuries at the guard spots, but I trust the freshman to produce even if some of them come back for tonight's game. Newell is playing between 25 and 30 minutes per game. He is still finding his footing in the college game, but he definitely has the talent to be there. He scored 17 points against Butler, so the potential is there for a big game while providing us with a nice floor.

Also consider: Kris Murray, Iowa ($9,100); Abou Ousmane, North Texas ($7,900); Lars Thiemann, California ($6,700); James Keefe, Stanford ($5,400); Kuany Kuany, California ($5,100); Tylan Pope, Tulane ($3,700)
