Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett was one of the best values in drafts this summer. He currently sits as the WR12 in PPR leagues this season.
Unfortunately, he fractured his finger during Week 15 and missed Week 16's loss to the Chiefs after undergoing surgery.
This leaves fantasy managers wondering about their receiver. Is Lockett injured? Will he play in Week 17? Let's dive in.

Tyler Lockett Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
UPDATE 12/28: Lockett went through a walkthrough on Wednesday but was listed as a non-participant in practice.
Tyler Lockett Injury News
Not surprisingly, Lockett did not play in Week 16 after having surgery to repair his fractured finger. He is pushing to play against the Jets in Week 17, however.
Lockett was officially listed as a DNP in Wednesday's practice, but head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Lockett "did everything" during the team's walkthrough on Wednesday.
Carroll says Tyler Lockett "did everything'' in walk-through and "looked great.'' Says "we'll see'' if he can play but reiterates walkthrough "was excellent.''

It is good news that Lockett looked "great", although it is worth noting that Carroll is historically very optimistic when it comes to reporting on the injury statuses of his players.
Is Tyler Lockett Injured or Playing in Week 17?
Lockett was at practice catching passes on Wednesday as he looks to make his return to the Seattle lineup against the Jets in Week 17.
His hand looks something like a boxing glove. It has stitches on it. Yet Tyler Lockett was catching passes today at Seahawks HQ, 9 days after surgery on his broken hand. He intends to play Sunday vs the Jets.

The star receiver could come down to a game-time call on Sunday, although his ability to catch balls on Wednesday has given the team some optimism regarding his status.
Tyler Lockett didn’t practice this afternoon. But he showed enough catching passes in AM walkthrough that Seahawks coaches, teammates think he may be playing Sunday vs the Jets.

Fantasy gamers heading into the championship round will want to monitor Seattle's practice reports for Thursday and Friday. If Lockett can at least get in a limited session by Friday, it wouldn't come as a huge surprise if he were to suit up in Week 17. Lockett's status will most likely come down to an issue of pain tolerance and whether team doctors think his stitches can hold up in game conditions. Be sure to keep an eye on the news out of Seattle as the weeks progresses.
In the meantime, there are lots of waiver wire options available for Week 17, all of which are outlined here in our RotoBaller Waiver Wire Pickups List.
