New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker has had a quiet first season with the team. He is the WR86 for the year, averaging 5.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
After spending the first seven years of his career with the Miami Dolphins, the veteran receiver got traded to the Patriots in the offseason.
Unfortunately, the former first-round pick has struggled with injuries throughout his career. This season has been no different.

Is DeVante Parker Healthy Or Injured?
In Week 14, Parker suffered a concussion against the Arizona Cardinals. After he hit his head getting tackled, Nelson Agholor noticed Parker was showing concussion-like symptoms. The veteran receiver hasn't played since then.
He missed the Week 15 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders and last week’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals with the concussion.
While the veteran receiver has missed the past two games, there is some hope that he will return for Sunday’s matchup against his former team.
However, fantasy players have no reason to roster or start Parker this week. He has scored fewer than 9.5 fantasy points in all but one game this season. Furthermore, the veteran receiver had only one reception for nine yards and 1.4 fantasy points in the Week 1 matchup against the Dolphins.
What Wide Receiver Should I Add Off The Waiver Wire?
Instead of starting Parker, fantasy players should add Isaiah Hodgins off the waiver wire. The New York Giants wide receiver is available in over 95% of ESPN leagues.
After starting the season with the Buffalo Bills, the second-year joined the Giants midway through the year. Since joining the NFC East team, Hodgins has played well.
Over the past four weeks, the former Oregon State receiver has averaged 12.8 fantasy points per game, making him the WR12 during that span. More importantly, he scored 12.9 or more fantasy points in three of those contests.
Last week Hodgins had the best performance of his career. The second-year receiver caught eight of 11 targets for 89 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. He ended Week 16 as the WR7 with 18.9 fantasy points.
Fantasy players who need a last-minute injury replacement at wide receiver should add Hodgins off the waiver wire.
