Derrick Henry Injury Update
Henry (hip) missed practice Monday, sending shock through the fantasy football universe. However, he did return to practice on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Henry's status, but at this rate, it looks likely that he'll be able to play on Thursday night. Deploy him as a high-end RB1 despite the injury scare.
Tony Pollard Injury Update
Head coach Mike McCarthy said he expected Pollard (thigh) to practice on Tuesday, but when the Cowboys took the field, their 25-year-old running back was nowhere to be seen. This marks the second consecutive absence for Pollard, meaning he'll likely need to practice in some capacity on Wednesday if he has any shot at playing in Week 17.
Aaron Jones Injury Update
Jones (ankle) was "rolled up on" during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. He briefly exited the game but later returned. The veteran back has dealt with a myriad of lower-body injuries this season but has yet to miss a game. That should remain the case in Week 17 as Green Bay pushes for a playoff spot. View Jones as a high-end RB2.
Jamaal Williams Injury Update
Williams (knee) exited Sunday's game but did return before the final whistle. At this point, we don't know much about his status, but it's definitely possible that the Lions treat this situation with immense caution. If so, D'Andre Swift could be in line for increased volume against the Bears.
Antonio Gibson Injury Update
Gibson suffered a sprain on Saturday that caused him to have a reduced workload. We don't have any more information on the injury, but it's fair to wonder whether Gibson will suit up in Week 17. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on the Commanders' injury reports over the next three days.
Elijah Mitchell Injury Update
The 49ers have one injured reserve activation remaining and are expected to use it on Mitchell (knee). The 24-year-old has made significant progress and is trending towards a return. Although he would back up Christian McCaffrey, it's no secret that the 49ers like to utilize multiple backs and run the ball an awful lot. This could give Mitchell an appeal as an RB3 in fantasy football.
Travis Homer Injury Update
The Seahawks brought Tony Jones Jr. back into the organization amidst an injury to Homer (ankle). The Seahawks' No. 3 running back is dealing with a sprain. Even if he can't play in Week 17, there would be minimal fantasy fallout. Avoid Homer, Jones, and any other depth piece added in the coming days.
Myles Gaskin Injury Update
Gaskin (illness) has been placed on injured reserve. While an illness is rarely a season-ending injury, this could be the Dolphins' way of keeping Gaskin off the roster. After all, he has logged snaps in just two games this season and failed to beat out Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr., or Salvon Ahmed in the backfield.
