Curtis Samuel Catches All Five Targets In Week 16
2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel caught all five of his targets for 52 yards and a touchdown along with one carry for two yards in Saturday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After a disappointing Week 15, the 26-year-old had a productive outing against San Francisco's tough defense. An interesting piece of his performance is that once Carson Wentz replaced Taylor Heinicke in this matchup, Samuel caught three passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. Wentz was known to have a strong connection with the former Buckeye earlier in the season. So, it wouldn't be surprising to see that connection resurface if he takes over as the starter for the final two weeks of the season. Keep an eye out for news on Washington's starting quarterback, as it could mean big things for Samuel's outlook.
