Chris Olave Injury Update
Chris Olave was put on the injury report this past Tuesday with a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old failed to participate in practice after this announcement and was ruled out for Saturday's game against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday.
Saints WRs Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry ruled out for Saturday at Cleveland (I guess this is the week to be without them if ever). LB Pete Werner and RB Dwayne Washington also out.

Teammate Jarvis Landry (ankle) was also placed on the Injury Reserve this week, leaving the Saints very thin at receiver this weekend. Juwan Johnson, Rashid Shaheed, and Tre'Quan Smith will see an increase in targets, with Johnson and Shaheed being the biggest beneficiaries. Both players are startable in Week 16 against Cleveland.
Deebo Samuel Injury Update
Deebo Samuel missed last week's game against Seattle due to an MCL sprain and an ankle sprain. The timetable for him to return originally given was about three weeks. With no practice participation this week, the team ruled the 26-year-old out for Saturday's game against Washington.
#49ers status report for Week 16 vs. Commanders:
OUT
QB Garoppolo (foot)
DL K.Givens (knee)
WR D.Samuel (ankle, knee)
Questionable
RB Jordan Mason (hamstring)
CB C.Ward (concussion)
DB T.Moore (illness, knee)
DL K.Hyder (ankle)
CB A.Thomas (ankle)
Everyone else is cleared to play— Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoNBCS) December 22, 2022
There is little chance the 49ers' top target is able to go next week, so unless you play your championship game in Week 18, Samuel is droppable in all non-keeper redraft leagues. Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle will operate of the top two targets for San Francisco, while Christian McCaffrey will see his fair share or targets.
Diontae Johnson Injury Update
Diontae Johnson was listed on this week's injury report with a toe injury. The 26-year-old did not practice this week, but head coach Mike Tomlin said that he would give the veteran rest in preparation for Saturday night's game against the Raiders. He is officially listed as questionable.
The #Steelers’ injury report for Saturday’s game against the Raiders. Diontae Johnson, Terrell Edmunds, and Myles Jack are all QUESTIONABLE. pic.twitter.com/eFOJPFIaLK
— Corey Crisan (@cdcrisan) December 22, 2022
With the injury popping up this week, Johnson seems more like he has more of a 50/50 chance to play rather than what Tomlin is telling us. If he were to miss, George Pickens would operate as the Steelers' top target against an exploitable Las Vegas pass defense. Johnson would be a solid FLEX option if he were active, but this is the night game Saturday, so be sure to check for updates in the afternoon.
Treylon Burks Injury Update
Treylon Burks has missed the past two weeks due to a concussion he suffered against Philadelphia in Week 13. The 22-year-old returned to practice this past Wednesday and was a full go on Thursday. He is officially listed as questionable for Saturday's game against Houston.
Treylon Burks and Tre Avery could clear concussion protocols.
— Terry McCormick (@terrymc13) December 22, 2022
It seems likely that the rookie makes his return to the field this week. However, quarterback Ryan Tannehill has undergone surgery on his ankle and will be out this week. With rookie Malik Willis under center, the fantasy upside for Burks in an already tough matchup is severely capped. Consider Burks a WR4/5 in Week 16.
Tyler Lockett Injury Update
Tyler Lockett suffered a broken right index finger during their Thursday night matchup against the 49ers. The veteran receiver had successful surgery this week and was officially ruled out for Saturday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.
Here's the full injury and practice participation report for Seahawks. As noted earlier, Carroll says he anticipates all the guys listed as questionable playing against Chiefs: pic.twitter.com/d1knqNYgF5
— Bob Condotta (@bcondotta) December 22, 2022
While head coach Pete Carroll had been overly optimistic about Lockett playing this week, we will need to see him return to practice before believing he has a chance in Week 17. Marquise Goodwin will see an increase in usage with Lockett out and is a viable FLEX option against a struggling Kansas City pass defense.
Courtland Sutton Injury Update
Courtland Sutton has been out since Week 14 due to a hamstring injury he suffered the week prior. The 27-year-old returned to practice this week in a limited fashion and was able to be deemed questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton questionable with hamstring injury, but says he’s hopeful he’ll play https://t.co/DpIEeg6DVU
— Denver Post Broncos (@PostBroncos) December 23, 2022
Jerry Jeudy has done well in Sutton's absence, and with the offense struggling mightily, it is tough to trust the veteran receiver for fantasy purposes. However, with the Rams' defense beat up and multiple starters missing, Sutton has fantasy value as a low-end FLEX option if active.
Marquise Brown Injury Update
Marquise Brown was downgraded in Thursday's practice to limited due to a groin injury. While mid-week downgrades make the chances of a player suiting up on the weekend slim, the 25-year-old was able to remain limited on Friday and was officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.

— Darren Urban (@Cardschatter) December 23, 2022
There is a chance Brown will be limited if he plays since he suffered the injury recently, but his fantasy value has already taken a hit with third-string quarterback Trace McSorley in line to start this weekend. The Cardinals No. 2 receiver should be viewed as a boom-or-bust FLEX option at best this weekend if given the green light.
Brandin Cooks Injury Update
Brandin Cooks has missed the past three games due to a calf injury. The 29-year-old was able to practice in full for the first time this week since suffering the injury but was still listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Titans on Thursday.
Texans WR Brandin Cooks (calf) is questionable against the Titans
— Brooks Kubena (@BKubena) December 22, 2022
Cooks has done little to help fantasy managers this season but has a solid matchup against a Tennessee pass defense that has let up plenty of production to fantasy wide receivers. With Nico Collins on Injured Reserve, Cooks and Chris Moore should lead the way as the top two targets for quarterback Davis Mills and are both viable FLEX options in Week 16.
Jakobi Meyers Injury Update
Jakobi Meyers has practiced on a limited basis this week due to a lingering shoulder injury. The 26-year-old had dealt with the same injury a few weeks ago and was officially listed as questionable for Saturday's game against Cincinnati on Thursday.
DeVante Parker, Jalen Mills, and Joe Cardona have been ruled out of Saturday’s Patriots game against the Bengals. The full injury report: pic.twitter.com/gZnQXHJOBO
— Chad Graff (@ChadGraff) December 22, 2022
Meyers is on the optimistic side of questionable for this week's game against the Bengals, as he is likely to play through the injury. The slot receiver made a terrible decision to lateral the ball and lose the game for the Patriots last week, so it will be interesting to see how often he is targeted. Consider Meyers on the WR3/4 borderline if given the green light to play.
Marquise Goodwin Injury Update
Marquise Goodwin was listed as a full participant for Tuesday's practice despite being labeled with a wrist injury, but added on an ankle injury and was limited on Wednesday and Thursday. The veteran receiver was officially listed as questionable for Saturday's game against Kansas City on Thursday.
So to recap from Pete Carroll, he said all four players listed as questionable --- RBs Kenneth Walker III and DeeJay Dallas, TE Noah Fant and WR Marquise Goodwin --- are expected to play. ....
— Bob Condotta (@bcondotta) December 22, 2022
Tacking on an ankle injury mid-week is never a good sign, but head coach Pete Carroll is optimistic Goodwin will play Saturday. Fantasy managers without Tyler Lockett can pivot to the 32-year-old receiver who has shined at times this season in replacement of the Seahawks' No. 2 receiver. He would be a solid FLEX option if he is able to suit up.
Chris Moore Injury Update
Chris Moore picked up a foot injury this past week but did not miss any practice and was able to go in a limited fashion all week. The 29-year-old was officially listed as questionable for Saturday's game against Houston on Thursday.
Texans injury report vs Titans:
OUT: WR Nico Collins, G Kenyon Green
Questionable: G Justin McCray, WR Chris Moore, WR Brandin Cooks, CB Steven Nelson
— Brooks Kubena (@BKubena) December 22, 2022
Moore had been peppered with targets the past two weeks with both Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins out, but he will likely have to contend with Cooks for targets this week as the veteran is slated to make his return. The absence of Collins should still allow Moore to carry low-end FLEX value in a plus matchup, but manage your expectations if he is able to go Saturday,
Julio Jones Injury Update
Julio Jones has been battling a knee injury this season and missed last week's game against the Bengals because of it. The veteran receiver put in three limited practice sessions this week and was officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals on Friday.
LT Donovan Smith (foot) CB Jamel Dean (toe) DT Vita Vea (calf) LB Genard Avery (abdomen) LB Carl Nassib (pectoral) weren’t practicing during portion open to media. T Tristan Wirfs, S Keanu Neal, WR Julio Jones were practicing. S Antoine Winfield Jr. worked with trainers.
— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) December 23, 2022
Russell Gage produced in Jones' stead last week, scoring two touchdowns on 12 targets. Even if the veteran returns, it will be tough to trust him with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Gage at 100%. Jones is a desperation WR4/5 in Week 16 if he is able to suit up.
Ben Skowronek Injury Update
Ben Skowronek is dealing with a calf injury that he suffered last week. Head coach Sean McVay came out Tuesday to announce the 25-year-old would miss the remainder of the season due to the injury, making him out for Sunday's game against Denver.
#Rams C Brian Allen and WR Ben Skowronek are out for the rest of the year with calf injuries, per HC Sean McVay.
— Kayla Burton (@Kay_Breezy22) December 20, 2022
The Rams are in shambles due to injury. Skowronek's absence will open the door for more targets for Tutu Atwell and Van Jefferson, but neither are viable fantasy options this week against a solid Denver pass defense.
