Indianapolis Colts quarterback Nick Foles hasn’t played this year after joining the team in the offseason as a free agent.
However, the veteran quarterback has started at least one game every year of his career. Last season, he started the Week 16 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks for the Chicago Bears. Foles had 250 passing yards, one touchdown, and 16.8 fantasy points in the game.
Unfortunately, Indianapolis’ season hasn’t gone the way they hoped. They fired their head coach midseason and will start their third quarterback of the year this week.

Should I Pickup And Start Nick Foles For Week 16?
After starting Matt Ryan 12 games this season and Sam Ehlinger two, the Colts are switching to Foles. Interim head coach Jeff Saturday announced that the veteran quarterback would start Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers.
However, should fantasy players add Foles off the waiver wire and start him in Week 16?
Los Angeles has surrendered 16.3 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, slightly above the league average. Yet, their defense has played much better lately. Over the past three weeks, the Chargers have held Derek Carr, Tua Tagovailoa, and Ryan Tannehill to one passing touchdown and 13.1 fantasy points per game.
What Other Quarterback Should I Consider?
Instead of starting Foles this week, fantasy players should add and start Gardner Minshew. The former Jacksonville Jaguars starter is on the waiver wire in over 82% of ESPN leagues.
Unfortunately, superstar Jalen Hurts won’t play tomorrow because of a sprained shoulder he suffered last week against the Bears. Minshew will start for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys in a consequential NFC East matchup.
Last season, the veteran backup started the Week 13 matchup against the New York Jets for an injured Hurts. He had two touchdowns and 242 passing yards in the game while completing 80% of his pass attempts and totaling 18.8 fantasy points. More importantly, Minshew has averaged 16.9 fantasy points per game in his 25 career starts.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys have struggled to slow down opposing passing attacks. Over the past seven games, Dallas has surrendered 16.4 fantasy points and 1.9 passing touchdowns per game to quarterbacks. Fantasy players who need a streaming option this week should add Minshew off the waiver wire.
