As we head into Week 16 of the NFL season, successful fantasy managers are battling out in their league's playoffs. This makes every decision crucial. Sharp fantasy GMs must stay on top of all injury situations.
One such concern is with New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave. The talented rookie has been battling a hamstring injury as of late and saw a reduced snap count in Week 15. Fellow Saints rookie wideout Rashid Shaheed has earned an increased role in the New Orleans offense in recent weeks.
Is Chris Olave out? Should I pick up and start Rashid Shaheed for Week 16? Below we take a quick look at the updated injury status for Olave and the impact it has on Shaheed's fantasy outlook.

Is Chris Olave Playing Against the Browns This Week?
By any measure, Chris Olave has put together a very successful rookie campaign. The Saints' 2022 first-round pick has exceeded all expectations this season, posting 940 receiving yards and three TDs on 63 receptions. With both Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry constantly injured, Olave has been the true alpha of the New Orleans receiving corps this year.
Unfortunately, the dynamic rookie has battled a hamstring injury as of late. Olave popped up on the Saints' injury report prior to a Week 15 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. While he did eventually suit up against Atlanta, he did see a reduction in snaps.
Olave has not practiced this week due to the hamstring issue. He has officially been ruled out for a Week 16 date with the Cleveland Browns.
Should I Pick Up and Start Rashid Shaheed In Week 16?
Olave hasn't been the only impressive rookie in the Saints' receiving corps. Unheralded UDFA Rashid Shaheed has made a noticeable impact in recent weeks.
New Orleans' many injuries at WR have allowed him to get on the field and Shaheed's blazing speed has helped him to find success. The Weber State product has proven himself to be a big-play threat and has logged seven catches for 170 yards and a TD over the Saints' last two games.
With Olave - as well as Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas - sidelined this week, Shaheed's role in the Saints' passing attack should grow. His stock would be a bit higher if he were at home in the Caesars Superdome, but he'll be forced to play through some expected nasty weather conditions in Cleveland on Saturday. Despite the weather concerns, Shaheed should be rostered and can be considered as a boom-or-bust FLEX option against the Browns.
