Barclay Goodrow Collects Three Points In Thursday's Win
2 years agoNew York Rangers forward Barclay Goodrow had the most points in this season's third Battle of New York, finishing a 5-3 victory over the Islanders with a goal and two assists. He provided a big game-tying goal early in the third period and helped Julien Gauthier and Vincent Trocheck on the scoreboard, with the latter getting his goal by sending the puck into an empty net. Goodrow's night also included three shots, one block and one hit with a plus-three rating in 12:16 of ice time. The versatile forward is now on eight goals and 18 points in 35 games this season with 45 shots, 51 hits and 22 blocks. Goodrow has the ability to do it all on the ice, although he's far from a consistent scorer and had recorded points in only one of his previous five games prior to Thursday.
